Tell us about the seeds you're burying in freshly turned compost, share the story of how dirt got under your fingernails as you dust yourself off and get ready for the spring. Little Fruits wants to get in the mud right beside you.

We accept flash fiction, short fiction, and creative nonfiction up to 2,500 words.

Call runs from March 1st through 7th.

sowing seeds

This call opens on the day of the Pink Moon, the first full moon of Spring. We will be pruning, weeding, and digging deep trenches to make space in the orchard for your newly sprouted seedlings. The Pink Moon symbolizes renewal and lights up low creeping flowers. Little Fruits wants your help to honor this time with stories from all genres, but especially about the fantasy and magic that shines under a full moon.

We accept flash fiction, short fiction, and creative nonfiction up to 2,500 words.

Call runs from April 1st through 7th.

Workers of the world unite for a special edition of little fruits starting this May Day. We want your stories, essays, and flash fiction that connect the struggles of labor history with the hot labor summers of the last few years. Share with us how you or your imagination are fighting like hell for your dreams and the future of the working class.

We accept flash fiction, short fiction, and creative nonfiction up to 2,500 words. For this call, we will accept limited multimedia work celebrating labor history. Email us at littlefruitsmagazine@gmail.com with pitches for union memorabilia photo shoots, original labor-inspired artwork of all mediums, video footage from picket lines, and whatever else speaks to the struggle today.

Call runs from May 1st through 7th.
